When I think of avoidance, there are three main categories that stand out to me. During last month’s webinar about Avoidance, we focussed on procrastination and people pleasing. After a small recap, we will get into the third category which is sometimes harder to pin down; the ways we avoid ourselves. This can show up as restlessness as well as a constant need to be engaged by technology or other people.
In this session, we will also take a look at avoidant attachment style and try to debunk some of the myths around this as a pop psychology buzzword of the moment. The intention here is that through becoming more aware of our patterns we can be more attentive when they arise rather than being hijacked by them.
